* my 9D9N Little Taiwan trip* to Go for Fun ! - Day 3

Thanks God these few days weather was too nice.. too hot!! (yaya.. i pray to God before I'm here.. I rather hot till I get sunburn I also don't want raining.. and HE really heard my pray \(*o*)/ .. yippie ~).

Day 3 - YeuLiu Geopark, 野柳地质公园

          - JiuFen Old Street, 九份老街

          - JiLong Temple Street, 基隆庙口

Have breakfast on the bus~

TWD100 umbrella is really worth to buy when under this big sunshine day! I not really can open my eye during photo capture session. In TaiPei station block A got direct bus to YehLiu, 1hour 30min taken to there. 

When reach the station, just follow signboard and 15min walking distance to reach the park. Along the way, u can see some fishboats.  We reach YehLiu Geopark around 10am. It's extremely hot in seaside!

After survey among few restaurant, we decided to have our lunch here. 1000TWD for 4 dishes as below while half of the amount goes to lobster which is 500TWD ~

The seaweed was okok ; lala bit salty; seafood noodle taste too light; and most satisfied is the lobster which is fresh. 
 

Our next station is JiuFen old street, 九份老街. Wait at opposite bus station which u drop when reach and took bus go to JiLong bus station. If u not sure which bus to take can ask the driver. Took around 45min while JiLong to JiuFen another 1 hour taken.

 Located in the mountains area. This old street was famous of taro balls ! We also bought some souvenirs here. You can find some boutique shop along the street.

 We tried taro balls from 2 different stalls, 阿柑姨 and 赖阿婆. From my homework report (online rearch ) 阿柑姨 is more famous but we prefer 赖阿婆 one. Maybe that is first bowl of taro ball we have in Taiwan. <(^0^)>. 阿柑姨located in great location with open view. No wonder lot people like to visit this shop.

 
 

This snack was fresh & crunchy! First time I eat this kind of  grilled shells. Though 100TWD per cup, inside got more than 10shells.

 

Forgot what time we leave just remember when we reach JiLong was dinner time. (Yes! we hungry again.. is it more and more worm inside our stomach?? -(*o*)- )
 

This snack I like so muchie.. !! Is chinese style tempura~  Eat with cucumber, the taste was just perfectly matching. (boss! 1 more take away.. lolz \(^0^)>)

Must try out this ice blended which just beside tempura stall. If no mistake its call ChenJi, 陈记. When ice melted inside my mouth, I can eat the pineapple cube to richer the taste. Yummy~ No doubt lot people willing wait in this long Q. It's worth!

Dont know what it is but quite tasty especially the soup.

Don't know what the even going on. I think is some society celebrating anniversary maybe. Quite happening & crowded.

We took 45min train back to Taipei and end our 3rd walk walk eat eat day. <(~o~)>

Day 2 - YangMingShan, 阳明山

          - ShiLin Night Market, 士林夜市

Wake up in the early morning! Before start journey, let's take a pic! Cheers (^0^)/

Meet little couple when we thinking where to have our breakfast ( no research on it o..=p). So when they ask us join along we immediately say Yes! No need headache where to eat. haha!! 

This old coffee shop locate between MRT station and our hostel.

Each set include 1 coffee/tea, toast, fried egg & ham is 100TWD. Coffee taste not so heavy but environment quite comfortable.

After meal we depart to YangMingShan. MRT reach Jian Tan station (剑潭 站) , take bus 206 or red5. If you plan to go JinTianGang only, can take bus small15. If you plan go few station, can take tour bus 108 which is 60TWD, unlimited access. Our route is 大屯山and 二子坪 >  竹子湖 (actually we not plan to go but.. just take wrong bus @.@ blur... haha!! )>  小油坑 > 冷水坑>  擎天岗

 Since already took wrong bus reach 竹子湖, and hence we decide walk around to have some dishes. Very fresh but just not so cheap. 

Have some dishes, we follow our ori plan go the  小油坑 which is an area after volcanism,  formation of fumaroles, sulfur crystals and hot springs.

 

Place we like the most - 擎天岗! And we spend most of the time here. Sitting there have a chat or enjoying the wind blow on your face. Very enjoyable ~ Very relaxing ~ Freeze the time and take a deep breathe.. So refreshing!

We leave YangMingShan around 5pm & directly go been voted as "must go night market" ShiLin Night Market which just opposite JianTan MRT station. Snack I'm coming~! (Slurp slurp...)

Uncountable dishes we have (haha!! It's true cause all look yummy~ s(*0*)s ) We just hardly to control until our stomach complaining its full +o+ . Each dish around 50TWD.

Oh ya.. We just finish our food tour in ShiLin for part1 only while part2 underground foodcourt, we haven't found it until next round we come here. (Huh.. Can I have temporary expend my stomach? If not how to stuck in so many nice food??  ~.~ )

Finally i set my foot on this piece of land - Taiwan where i wish to travel to ages ago. Can u imagine how excited i was when i purchasing the flight ticket? ^.^  can't sleep well 1 week before depart ((.. too over is it?? haha!!..)) However.. I really happy I can make it in this year! yohoo \(^.^)/

My Taiwan Trip Begins... ***

Around 1030pm we arrive at TaoYuan International Airport. Immigration counter progress quite fast and around 11pm something we already on the bus. But its late when we reach Taipei City and hence we took Guo Guang Ke Yun ( 国光客运), around 120TWD to go Taipei Main Station then took a cap to our hostel - XiMen Cheng She( 西门橙舍). About 50min reach in Taipei main station while how lucky we are meet a couple who go same hostel with us (^.^) . So we share the fees which is 120TWD ; 30TWD per person only. ( 11pm-6am take taxi need add extra 20TWD).

 

This hostel apply password as keylock which means there are no room key and they will provide you a password. This was really convenience and efficiency. Since we reach in late night and hence before day we depart, they will send us an email with maindoor and room password to let us go in to room rest first. Next day only check in. So considering and helpful. Though the room is small but we really like it. Maybe of the home-feel decorations & good service.Among 4  hotel we stay in this 9 days, this is the one most satisfied.

Too hungry when we reach. So we go nearby 7-11 (just opposite the road) to buy some eat. After bath, soon we zzzzzzzzzzz....

Lovely morning!! really have a nice sleep and I was recharge to start my  journey!!! 

 Breakfast we go opposite stall 永和豆浆 (after we ask Mike, PIC of the hostel). The soya is nice and food I prefer right hand side that one - egg rolls.

XiMen MRT station is just 10min walking distance from hostel. Yoyo card can get in any MRT station, 200TWD with available balance 100TWD, another 100TWD for deposit (refundable when card return).

 

Taipei Main Station (Taipei MS)  is big, huge! We walk walk walk more than 30min just find the Information center to apply youth card and exit to East door， 东门. But good thing is, after that day, we much more familiar with it & easier to find the way for following days. Youth card, YC is free and those between 15 - 30yrs old can apply it. Day 1 -  GuoFuJiNianGuan, 国父纪念馆 and 逸仙园

           - ZhongZhenJiNianTang ,中正纪念堂

           - Taipei 101

After all we heading to GuoFuJiNianGuan, 国父纪念馆 and 逸仙园 just inside the park. MRT can directly reach there, station SunYat San Memorial Hall 国父纪念馆。

Leave here we take MRT　go back to Taipei MS have our lunch before go to ZhongZhenJiNianTang,中正纪念堂.

O yes! This is claypot Chou Tou  Fu， 臭豆腐! I only taste fried chou tou fu in HK before but claypot one really never. The stall is inside Taipei MS 站前地下街. Not we purposely look for it but been attract by the smell when pass by. haha!! The soup was nice really but I dislike the duck blood, 鸭血 (( still remember the feeling when I bite it.. erm.. =s ))

 

Took MRT reach station Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall, 中正纪念堂 a really grand memorial hall and day we go there are some function so is quite clouded.

That day weather was really nice! Sky was clear and blue so we just follow our plan to Taipei 101 to have a great view of Taipei city. 

MRT to station City Hall, 市政府. Just look around after exit and u will see ChengPin Bookstore 诚品. Use 诚品as guidance and you will see Taipei 101 just in-front few miles. Walking distance 10min to there.

Go to 5th floor to purchase the observatory ticket. Normal price 450TWD, with YC 400TWD \(^0^)/

After leave 101, we went to HwaSi night market which in XiMen. MRT LongShan Temple station.

I like this! Source u can mix urself. Got wasabi o!

This one  for me OKOK only. Not so special.

This is 大肠包小肠 and i thought is meat. Nope! First bite prove that I'm wrong, is rice! Haha! Quite nice just we too full to finish it. 

 呵阿煎 ! Nice too~  Eat when it stil hot!
